I really want to try it... is it hard to learn?

RE: Dolphin kick: underwater "body roll" swimming

I know how to dolphin kick but what is the underwater "body roll"?

Does this mean rotating your body as you dolphin kick?

RE: Dolphin kick: underwater "body roll" swimming

Some people have a hard time learning it. They try to hard. You want your body to be loose and flowing. Don't bend your knees, but don't lock them. Let them flow with the rest of your body. Your hips lead you, so keep them big.

Good Luck!

RE: Dolphin kick: underwater "body roll" swimming

actually you want to bend your knees at a certain point in the kick cycle

You'll find that it's a natural movement. And quite efficient. Give it a try and see for yourself. good luck!
