So 1:07 for 100 SCY is 67X1.1=73.7+3=1:16.7 LCM.

RE: calculation

I don't care for the time converter on the swiminfo site. Seems like there's a 3-4 sec difference in the converted time and what I actually swim.
Generally, I use 1.1 factor for yds to meters and it works okay for short course conversions. For short course to long course it's a little more complicated because of the turns.

Pacific swimming has a pretty good conversion chart. Try this link
    www.pacswim.org/.../times_convert.html

RE: calculation

I don't like the conversion tables that much. For non-world class swimmers or oldster masters, I think they result in times that are too fast. With the exception of maybe free, I think for SCY to LCM it's still about 5 seconds a 50 and 10 seconds a 100. At least historically when I was a kid and now my times never convert to what they say they're supposed to. Same thing with all the USS kids today. Their times convert to times that are too fast and then they get discouraged when they can't go those times.

RE: calculation

Here's a link to a calculator with 50's: www.greatbaymasters.org/convert.html

RE: calculation

time conversions

only bad thing about this link is that you can't do 50 conversions for anything other than free. but it shouldn't be that big of a deal to just use the event set to 50 free for other 50s...
