    I keep hearing over and over, "I can't swim well because I have too much muscle." One of my co-workers in his mid-20's claimed this at a pool party; sure enough, he cannot raise his arms above shoulder height when standing. He is short and has very thick muscles. He did OK in power lifting in high school. About 15 years ago I saw Peppo Biscarini demonstrate his shoulder flexibility. He was remarkable.
