I'm looking forward to the 100 Freestyle on Sunday with Phelps and Thorpe head to head. I think Lezak is in the mix as well. And of course it is always fun to watch Phelps dominate the 200 IM and Hansen attempt to lap people on the 200 ***. Our 6 year old daughter is getting ready to start swimming for a local team so we are taking her to give her some inspiration.

In this meet, the top 9 from the prelims swim in a final, 10 - 18 in the consolation final. This meet also has a "bonus final" for 19 - 27. If you don't make the top 27, you swim the prelim only.

Yeah, I will not be there to see his swims but I hope he has some PB's in that pool. What else could he ask for, right? He could ask to advance to the finals, which he did by finishing 13th in the prelims and securing a position in the consolation final.

I've never seen a USS meet with such a wide range of talent. I've been out of USS for some time now, but is this the way it is done now? How do they get the top talent to come to these meets? 100M fly starts at 51, and goes all the way up to a 1:04? I mean, even Hansen is going to be swimming against some 1:08 breaststrokers.
