If you see Nick Brunelli could you ask him what is time was for the 50 Free at the SCM meet in Tempe. It was reported that he did a :21.18 as a USMS Masters swimmer and he would be the first USMS swimmer ever to hold a American Record. He would also be ranked #1 in the World in the 50 Free as a USMS member. However, if you go to the 2005 USMS Top Ten and to the USMS Records section on this website, he is listed with a :21.38 which is slower than the old American Record set by Anthony Erving of :21.21 and would also be slower than a time posted by Cullen Jones of :21.31 which would not make him the fastest USA swimmer for the year. He also would be behind Mark Foster because he has the fastest time in the event at :21.27 according to the FINA World Rankings. His :21.38 would put him in a tie for 3rd in the FINA World Rankings with Duje Draganja this year.

According to the USA Swimming web site records section, he is listed with having the American Record of :21.18, which was the time that was reported in a press release from Swim Info which would make him the American Record holder and the 2005 World&#39;s fastest 50 Meter swimmer for Short Course Meters.<div style="clear:both;"></div>
