Everyone in my house whined when Chris got kicked off and that doofus Taylor Hicks won Same here. My kids hated Taylor and he reminded me of the lounge shows one can see in Reno/Vegas....has beens and wannabe's are their mainstays.

I dvr House, it is a must in our house! Even DD likes the crabby old doctor. Did you see Chris' album is finally getting released, with his "new" band? Does that mean he ditched the fellows in NC?

Guess you had to have seen the show! I had done well in the "Songs from Disney Films" category, so Alex asked me if I had any kids. I was shocked to have him ask me a personal question in the middle of the game, and blurted out "Yes .... seven!" I meant to say I had one seven-year-old (at the time--he's 13 now). Many of my friends wanted to know where I had been hiding the other six children, and if their names were Doc, Sleepy, Grumpy, etc. I will never live that one down!

Regarding House,I wonder if folk know that Hugh Laurie, the actor who plays House, is a British actor, better known (back there) for his comedy roles .. I also heard that he was an elite rower some years ago - he competed in the Oxford vs Cambridge boat race in 1980. Quite a talent. As a native Brit myself, his US accent sounds pretty credible to me ... does it sound as authentic to US folk?

"24" ...nuff said! I do watch Idol with my kids and The Office which happens to be the funniest show on TV now. Dwight Schrute and Jack Bauer are the best characters on TV today.

Hey that's cool, Meg! I've been in the contestant pool two separate times for Jeopardy, but never got called to be on the show. I was on Millionaire when Regis was hosting, though (I only won $1,000). I can tell it was a few years ago because Alex still has a mustache!

A friend of mine has been on a few game shows herself. One being Wheel of Fortune and the other being The Price is Right. Neither worked out especially well which was odd considering her level of intelligence. She now refers to "Wheel of Fortune" as "Wheel of Misfortune".

It was a lot of fun, but also the most terrifying experience of my life. My knees literally knocked together the whole time I was playing. It was long enough ago that they had not doubled the dollar amounts, so I didn't win as much money as I could have. I won $5200 the first game and the game I came in second I won a trip to the Bahamas. That was when they still gave away prizes for second and third. Congratulations on being on Millionaire! My brother passed the test, but was never picked for the show. I think Regis was probably easier to talk to than Alex. Alex scared me! But he was actually pretty nice to me.
