For her 21 st birthday, my daughter ordered a beer float after dinner. Judging by her reaction, I doubt she will ever order another. Nevertheless, a keen marketing ploy by the restaurant.

I'd drink it for that name alone! :D I've happily had beer after running marathons, so I can imagine enjoying it after a swim meet, whether good, bad or indifferent.

ice cream, especially in some of its more exotic manifestations, doesn't go well with salted nuts or pretzels. whut ? Chocolate ice cream is good with salty snacks like potato chips or french fries ... and I have a favorite recipe for margarita pie that has a crushed pretzel crust and a lime kind of ice cream filling.

Although I prefer beer over icecream if pressed to choose one over the other, I still enjoy a little icecream from time to time. Has anyone tried Ben and Jerry's Pistachio Pistachio ice cream yet? If you like pistachios then I highly recommend it! Newmastersswimmer

Can I choose both? Of course, not necessarily together. Also, doesn't the answer depend on what one does with the beer and ice cream? Beer doesn't work that well on birthday cake, and ice cream, especially in some of its more exotic manifestations, doesn't go well with salted nuts or pretzels. Neither is recommended for shaving.
