Perhaps you could volunteer to help her with some of her duties at the meet... make yourself more than just a cheerleader for the team. Lainey

And there is a cost ($) associated with you going so I'd agree that at least you volunteeer to assist with the workload if you can't compete.

You should certainly let her know you want to go, but the conference meet might be something you have to earn your way to. I swam all four years in college and was only able to go to the conference meet my last two years.

I say definately talk to your coach. How can she know you really want to go if you don't voice it. I would tell her exactly what you told us....you really want to go..will work your hardest...and don't make me stow-away on the plane. Teams need cheerleaders.... and stop freaking out...you'll be fine. :D Go eat some Fig Newtons and take a hot bath...that makes everything better.
