I noticed that you changed your name. I have always tried to figure your identity. You don't have to applogize for being Farney McGee, Mannus Von Pounderson, Stone McFarlane, and David Wooderson. Now are you named Bill Davis, aged about 37 or 38, and swim free times of :25.6 for 50, 56.3 for 100, and 2:02.24 for 200. It's almost a weird badge of honor to start a thread and then get it banned from future posts. After reaching the "very active member" on these boards, I needed a new goal, so to get a thread banned from future posts is a oddly satisfying.

Should the next thread be about the Politics of Swimming and we can see how long that would run? I also feel the same way for the most part....but I felt I was making it personal by letting other factors at work and what not affect my better judgement ...which then lead to me typing a message with a very rude and attacking tone....I could have found better language to state my case.....i.e. I thought my language was way more insulting than it had to be....I am supposed to be trained to NOT make those mistakes as a teacher....but being human, I still make them from time to time....I'm just very glad to hear that no one took too much offense by my comments over there.....I really appreciate y'all posting here on this thread a lot BTW!.....Maybe we can still continue some of those discussions later on via e-mail or something?? ...but if so, I will promise to be on my best behavior this time!...(and I'll try to keep an open mind ...even though I might be dealing with an extreme Jerry Faldwell loving right winger like Paul!!....j/k of couurse!)

A good political debate is healthy I believe. I know what you mean about feeling passionate about something, that it is very hard to budge as I resemble that remark!

As far as discussing on here, I guess they have their rules, but if you can't debate where your friends and passions are, where can you? I know this is a swimming thread, but it is nice sometimes to drift and discuss things just to keep it fresh.

To sum it up, you did not offend me one bit and you don't need to apologize for anything. I like debates b/c they really test on how strong I feel about something. If I just surrounded myself with people that agreed with me (poloitically or religiously), I would never have the opportunity to grow.
