I cannot believe that "Indian Princess" is considered politically correct. May I suggest "Native American Leader Person"?

If this type of inquisition continues I will have to go back to my favorite movie character of all time, that being David Wooderson from Dazed and Confused. To throw Thompson off the trail, here's another clue. In my daughter's Indian Princess tribe (a YMCA program) my handle is Flaky White Fish, always accompanied by the beautiful Shimmering Mermaid.

You don't have to applogize for being Farney McGee, Mannus Von Pounderson, Stone McFarlane, and David Wooderson. Now are you named Bill Davis, aged about 37 or 38, and swim free times of :25.6 for 50, 56.3 for 100, and 2:02.24 for 200. I think I figured out who you are swimming in North Carolina.

Honestly, I could see it coming, that is the thread being closed. It's almost a weird badge of honor to start a thread and then get it banned from future posts. After reaching the "very active member" on these boards, I needed a new goal, so to get a thread banned from future posts is a oddly satisfying. Should the next thread be about the Politics of Swimming and we can see how long that would run? I would think if we called it Swimming in Politics it would be shut down pretty fast plus we've already done that!

Jim........I'm with Sam.....no apology necessary! I love a good debate and although not as gifted as my evil twin at taunting others will often times "bait" to see where things go. I also agree with Sam on the "rules", I see this forum as a venue to pull together those of us who share the same passion for swimming.........so drifting off topic here and there to me is a good thing (Mr. Moderator has been pretty good about giving us a little leeway).

I never feel anyone needs to apologize for anything unless someone makes it personal or takes it personally. We all love swimming. Lettuce take over the world and build more pools!

No apology needed, Jim. A good political debate is healthy I believe. I know what you mean about feeling passionate about something, that it is very hard to budge as I resemble that remark! As far as discussing on here, I guess they have their rules, but if you can't debate where your friends and passions are, where can you? I know this is a swimming thread, but it is nice sometimes to drift and discuss things just to keep it fresh. To sum it up, you did not offend me one bit and you don't need to apologize for anything. I like debates b/c they really test on how strong I feel about something. If I just surrounded myself with people that agreed with me (poloitically or religiously), I would never have the opportunity to grow. P.S. You signature quote is the best on here!
