Wanted to</description><dc:language>en-US</dc:language><generator>Telligent Community 12</generator><item><title>RE: Aggravated at a pool — :53 minute ePostal</title><link>https://community.usms.org/thread/293997?ContentTypeID=1</link><pubDate>Thu, 26 Jan 2023 02:47:42 GMT</pubDate><guid isPermaLink="false">3187ac58-ba85-4314-b79a-c45cd885e09a:02354e5c-e65d-4dcc-bbfe-0fc30c49da39</guid><dc:creator>67King</dc:creator><description>&lt;p&gt;So I got frustrated with a pool today.&amp;nbsp; Heater went out last Friday.&amp;nbsp; I swam Saturday morning, it was a little chilly, but no big deal.&amp;nbsp; Heard later it was 78, but I&amp;#39;d guess it was colder (I&amp;#39;m guessing the &amp;quot;estimate&amp;quot; was from another swimming guessing).&amp;nbsp; Swam at different pools on Monday and Tuesday.&amp;nbsp; Went back today.....still broken.&amp;nbsp; Freaking COLD (for a pool, anyway).&amp;nbsp; Supposedly it was down to 70 on Monday (again, guessing someone was guessing).&amp;nbsp; Got 1,000 yards in and it registered to me that the pool, in addition to being cold, was murky.&amp;nbsp; And I can handle cold, but murky means the water is probably not moving, and not getting filtered, and is probably not the best environment for one to avoid things like ear infections.&amp;nbsp; So, I got out.&amp;nbsp; Swim with the local Masters program tomorrow.&amp;nbsp; Don&amp;#39;t know what I&amp;#39;ll do on Friday (I usually swim when my son is at the club practice, but the alternate pool on Friday would be the one they use).&amp;nbsp; May do a different Masters practice Saturday morning, since he has a meet later that day and won&amp;#39;t be at the morning practice.&lt;/p&gt;

I got the 1-hour complete at a different municipal pool here in Ft. Lauderdale. In fact, the guard from the first pool in my OP who said I could go a few minutes over&amp;hellip;she was working at this pool. So I had the opportunity to apologize for getting frustrated in the first incident. Not with her, but with the other head guard. She appreciated the apology and said &amp;ldquo;If you need to go a couple minutes over tonight you can DEFINITELY do it. But I didn&amp;rsquo;t need to. &lt;/span&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
