thank you for peeking at the article and for writing yesterday I got 3 calls, and 2 more today because a local radio station mentioned it as well. I don't have any tattoos, (maybe it's my fear of needles) Well I do have an tiny black dot on my right palm where I accidentally stabbed myself with an ink pen. no autographs yet I occasionally send out notices about my songwriting when something neat happens so I thought I would do the same with this. Congrats on the article!.....it was very well written.....you are now a local celebrity in San Marcos....now you may have to stop and give autographs when you go shopping at the local Wal Mart. I saw the piece of plant there between your neck and shoulder and thought it might be a tatoo of some kind.....you know....being a songwriter and artist....maybe that would give you the inclination to get a tatoo....who knows?? ...I thought it was a strange location for a tatoo though?? newmastersswimmer

That is cool that they did an article on you. I thought about sending a quote to my local paper about being a nationally ranked masters swimmer but I think that I will pass on it for now.

Judging by the photo in the story, open water swimming must be your next challenge Ande- perhaps swimming the USMS series of open water champs, but doing them as IM...yes, there's a worthy challenge for you...

Thanks, I haven't done an open water swim since boy scouts. In the photo I'm swimming upstream in the San Marcos River which swiftly runs through sewell park. It's about a quarter mile from the San Marcos springs that flows with clear 68 degree water. I mainly swim in pools, though sewell is an awesome place to swim. Did you notice the piece of plant between my neck and shoulder?
