There are all sorts of "rash guards" for surfers, kids and adults that are basically a pull over type tee shirt made for swimming and surfing in the water without creating much resistance or interference.. Most are lycra and stretchy, but others have up to 1-2 mm of insulation and fit tighter with less stretch.. A rash guard top can be taken off easier on the pool deck or beach than a one-piece tri-suit. However, they also make two piece tri-suits .

Friend of mine I do open water swimming has Chron's, and uses a shortie wetsuit. He gets waivers from USMS for competition.

Maybe a triathlon suit would work for you. What about a tegaderm-type dressing, like the ones used to cover IV sites and PICC lines? You should be able to get some large enough to cover the CGM and patch to protect it, and the adhesive is meant to last. Unless it's placed such that it's rubbing at the waistband of a regular suit?
