As for open water information, I’d suggest you look through the Open Water forum there are lots of threads with good advice. For more reading materials I’d suggest Open Water Swimming by Penny Lee Dean. It can be found on the USMS Bookstore on USMS.org I’d also recommend the DVD Open Water Swimming – Skills, Techniques &amp; Racing Tips by Michael Collins and Gerry Rodrigues.
