OK,that list had swimmeets in Australia,the Pre Classic in track(I am from Oregon) and the Ironman. I'd definitely add NCAA Swimming Championship(Men or Women) :bouncing::bouncing:

Olympic Swimming since it's only once every four years. All the others are annual events with the possible exception of boxing. Heck, with a DVR you don't need to miss anything nowadays.

I voted for Olympic swimming. But that depends on who's playing in the Superbowl and World Series. If it's the Steelers or Pirates (LOL), then I'd have to tape swimming...or watch it on You Tube. I don't do boxing, tennis or AG...

You might to contact whichever network will be covering olympic swimming. My household is a Nielsen household, and I recently took a survey asking nearly this exact question. The networks are interested. Tell them how you feel. I, of course, chose B league tiddlywinks. :-)

Now if swimming had been competing with track and field, especially the 1500 final.... TiVo time! But yeah, swimming for sure! But why not expand the list? Here's ESPN's version: "101 things all sports fans must experience before they die."

How about Ultimate Fighting, swimmers vs noodlers lol I would go for Superbowl first (go Steelers). Since swimming pools can now be erected anywhere, why not for the half time show have a few lanes length of 100yd field and put on some swim races. If they can get Janet Jackson again, she is already in her fastskin. ps-Sarah, how things going, when you going to return to the pool? Still no word on new coach but went to a meeting. Parents are in a frenzy about getting a coach before short course season starts. greg

The Superbowl can be anticlimatic....playoffs are much more interesting; however, the olympics are mesmerizing, expecially the swimming......rarely watch tv except for NFL and Olympics.

If on one night... football, baseball, tennis, boxing, swimming, and american gladiators were all on at the same time... which one would you choose (and you couldn't watch the other channels)? Not fair. 1. Swimming at the Olympics 2. The Superbowl 3. The World Series 4. World Heavyweight Championship 5. Wimbledon 6. American Gladiators 7. I don't watch TV I'd tape both Swimming and Wimbledon. (I'd buy a second VCR, if I had to). I can't abide to watch any of these shows live; can't stand the commercials and---most times--- the commentators' talking and rattling on and on, just making noise.

Tour De France, would get my vote. Lots more going on than just a bunch of guys out on their bikes. Love Olympic Swimming: but I voted for the Super Bowl. Olympic Triathlon is fun to watch: Iron Man Hawaii has too many sappy stories.

Swimming in the Olympics for sure!!!This is just breath-taking for me...I even downloaded some videos from Athens from swim.ee(sucks they do not have them anymore) and I still watch them(I think I watched them at least a couple of hundred of times now, I konow, that is kinda werd).Other than swimming there is nothing else that fascinates me from the list given.American football is something I will never understand, I cannot stand it, 'cause the actual game takes a few seconds and then the players take time to take the position again and repeat the same exact play again.It is just too monotonous and boring... Other than swimming I enjoy watching ice-hockey and soccer( I love those), sometimes tennis...

Yep I would. I have been watching the hoops a long, long time. When I was pregnant with my son, I was ordered to bed rest for the last month. At first I was bummed, and then I realized between movies and March Madness, life was not so bad!! He will be 17 in March. College basketball is the best, and yes we Illinois fans are in a good mood this year. We are all pinching ourselves and crossing our fingers. When my daughter was born, I was in the hospital that night watching Michigan blow that championship game in 93! Prairie State games used to be in Champaign. Some of the best talent in BB would come down and play at the Assembly hall, and it was free. I would take my son, then a toddler and go down and watch the games. It was really street ball at the games, but none the less, very good players and fun to watch. The games are now down south. I like March Madness!

I would watch the swimming. However, all the commercials and hype and "human interest stories" drive me straight up the wall. My solution is to program the VCR to tape the olympics and then watch it on the tape so I can fast forward all of the stuff that doens't interest me - like hype and commericials and rythmic dance. Also, a VCR enables you to watch strokes in slow motion, so you can see the roll in the backstroke for example.

I picked swimming on the Olympics. The World Series and Wimbledon would come after that. I haven't watched the Superbowl in years. NFL football just doesn't do anything for me. And I'll agree with dorothyrde that College hoops is great fun. Always some great games when March Madness rolls around. Though I can't help but wonder if she'd think to mention college basketball if Illinois wasn't undefeated this season :)

Dammit - if they could have swimming in the Olympics WITH the Superbowl commercials it would be a no brainer for me. I had to vote for the Superbowl though.

I was big fan of American Gladiators when I was younger but watching the Olympics is also a joy. I would have to choose both of them.

I'd watch the Super Bowl to see the commercials (and it helps if the Steelers are playing). If not up against the Super Bowl--the swimming BUT only if live and not precorded for "LIVE" coverage in the evenings the way it has been for at least the last 2 Olympics.
