I wish for another Weber to help those Hondurans cook up all those dead flamingos (99 recipes for chicken down here); I wish for the power to stay up on Christmas day so I don't have to cook by flashlight; I wish there were a black line on the bottom of the ocean for me to follow on my long Utila swim; I wish to meet Nancy because she is a Fort Worth gal; I wish to meet Fortress but only after a good night's rest so I can keep up; I wish to watch Rich set a world record in breastroke; I wish someone would send me decent chocolate; I wish my red scarlet Macaw parrot would stop barking like my puppies do; I wish swimmers using TI swam as fast as they do pretty. I wish the Grinch's heart would grow a few sizes larger. For Donna's sake.:rofl: I wish I had a hottub like Rich. I wish Poolraat wouldn't cheer for the Packers. I wish my baby sister Heather lived closer to me instead of where I went to law school. I also wish she were my coach. I wish I could swim a really fast 200 fly. Since someone told me I should ask, I wish for breaststroke. C'mon Santa, a lot of work to do here.

MonkeyLaLa: equal parts: Vodka, Dark Rum, Light Rum, Baileys, Coconut Milk, splash of Pineapple and a splash of Grand Mariner. Mix in a blender with ice and tell your grandma it's eggnog, Island Style. After two of these, you have no head to blow off... I would really like for Santa to bring me a new Blender that lasts longer than the 2 I've worn out.

Of course it is an open invitation to anyone and we are civilized, we have a Weber but be prepared to eat only chicken and fish; that's about it. And wait until you try the MonkeyLaLa's (an island cocktail); blow your head off.Donna What's in that MonkeyLaLa? It sounds better than eggnog. I don't want a fastskin for Christmas. But I would like some new goggles and all the DVDs mentioned on Cruise's new thread.

You won't swim the next day after these two, guaranteed!!!:thhbbb: Donna Dirty Girl Scout: 1oz each Baileys, Kaluha and Vodka. 1tsp Creme de Menthe. Shake, and then pour over Ice. Serve with studly guy wearing a santa hat in hot-tub for best results... Feel free to multiply the oz's out to as large of a hangover as you can handle!

I wish George and Frank Thompson would write books memorializing the thoughts in their encyclopediac brains so I could put those books on my xmas list. Also, so that he can laugh at/recognize my obscure quotes, I would ask Santa to give Terry Laughlin the following book Haunts of The Black Masseur: The Swimmer As Hero.

Green Goblin, By all means, come to the island of Roatan, north of mainland Honduras. A 2 hour flight from Miami, 2-1/2 hrs from Houston or Atlanta. Turquoise water, bikinis, lots of buffed island guys to look at. And I could take you to my "swimming hole" where I train and you can all see the beautiful fish: Tsang fish (schools of 50 and they look like purple velvet); the beautiful Parrot fish and many others. And if it is a clear sunset, you might see that Green Flash that happens right as the sun sinks!!! I'm here, come on down. Donna Is this a group invite? Do you have a good barbeque grill?

Great idea!! Did that last year (Riviera Maya) and they had to drag me, kicking & screaming, onto the plane to come home. I went to Barbados last year. I suffer from post-vacation depression when I go back to work after a long relaxing vacation. Takes about two weeks to recover. Where are you going this year Poolraat? Where is Riviera Maya? Sounds quite exotic. Maybe we should all go the Honduras and visit Islandsox ...

Nothing for me. All I want is for our service men and women to have a safe deployment no matter where in the world they might be stationed. The men and women of the armed forces do a heck of a job. Since this is my first year back to swimming (albeit with a 4-1/2 month break for surgery) I asked for a lot of swimming stuff. I'm still young enough and in a small enough immediate family that people did ask me for a christmas list, so I promptly went to speedo and tyr, made wishlists and emailed them. Among the items included... Anything with a USMS logo on it. The Fighting Fish Swimsuit from Speedo in orange and navy! Any number of latex swim caps. New fins to replace my old cracking ones purchased when I was 14 and used through college. Paddles. TYR swim bag. Gift cards to Eddie Bauer and TallGirl so I can get new clothes for my return to a slimmer physique. Spa/Massage Gift certificates. And again, for that slimmer physique, I asked my husband for something silky to wear to bed. :eek:

Too bad you didn't mention this 3 weeks ago... I could have driven you to swim practice in the z4 roadster I had in my possession at the time. Speaking of cars, I would like mine back from the shop for christmas! 6 weeks and counting :frustrated: :dedhorse: How're you getting to all those swim, hockey and flag football practices?! Why, you're going to be too busy to celebrate the holidays at this rate. I hope you're not burned out.
