He is famous since 1976 when he gave pointers to Tim Shaw. Then coaching Tracy Caulkins in Tennessee. And now Inge de Bruijn (Ned.). Or maybe yesterday (i.e.: 2000) Inge de Bruijn, but not today. One of the coaches in San Diego swam in the U.S. Trials of 2000 in 200 backstroke, under Bergen.
