I still once in a while do three days because I sometimes feel like it. I once in a blue moon will do 5 days. But 4 days seems to be easier on my body.

RE: How many days do you practice a week

I wish I was more consistent. Two days swimming a week are pretty standard; more is gravy...

The rest of my life conflicts with swimming. I play soccer; coach soccer (minor workout); coach x-country running in the fall (good aerobic base work out), and coach track and field in the spring (no work out for me). And I teach senior high school English...I mark and mark and mark... Then I play taxi driver to my two teenagers, who play hockey, soccer, volleyball, track, baseball, piano, violin, and guitar.....

No, I'm not trying to blow my own horn. Most parents I know have similar busy schedules; if teachers and parents didn't coach/assist school and community sports, who would?

I know my time will come (when my kids have flown the coop) to swim 4 - 6 days per week. When that time comes, I'll enjoy it; until then, I try to keep fit and enjoy each day.

But I do wish I could swim more...

RE: How many days do you practice a week

3 times, 60 mins MWF. This happens to be a 4 day week. I have add some additional sprinting and killer kick sets, which has made me a bit more fatigued than normal so I am only doing 4 this week. I try to let my body tell me how hard to push it. My daughter has been bringing home a different bug every month this winter so I haven't wanted to let my body get to over worked.

4-5 times a week I do a hard workout and 2 days are EZ recovery days. Not necessarily consecutively.
Some weeks I add couple days of double workouts.

Every couple of weeks or so I take a day or two off.

RE: How many days do you practice a week

I tend to vary because of my schedule. Some weeks six times and other weeks only three.
