That has been my experience.  I have several old fast skins suits, and when I wear them, they do not look the same underwater as my newest one.

Regarding practice suits: buy a speedo or nike polymesh suit.  They last for 2-5 years if you swim EVERYDAY.  They are not cut like your traditional speedo if you are concerned about that. I save my Speedo for competition only.  I have a Nike 100% polyester jammer suit that is lasting forever.  The fibers are not breaking down and the color is holding fast.  But, it is a thicker and heavier material than Lycra.  That&amp;#39;s okay for the workout, though.  There are suits that are combinations of different materials and as far as durabilty are in between a lycra suit and a 100% polyester suit.  We have a good aquatics store in the area and they took a lot of time explaining the merits of them all.&lt;div style="clear:both;"&gt;&lt;/div&gt;</description></item></channel></rss>
