Okay, I&#39;ve had an extended layoff over the Christmas break and a holiday in Cancun. I have a friend, great great guy, who is literally as big around as he is tall. Several weeks ago, he had a pain in his right side, ignored it for a couple of days (how he did that I don&#39;t know), finally went to the Dr.--ruptured appendix--sepsis--has been in ICU for over 3 wks now! (sedated/ventalated most of the time). I got a report today that he has been taken off the ventalator and now has a trach tube for breathing, is sitting up in a chair. (this ventalator and trach tube sounded really strange to me, but a nurse friend said that it is unbelieveable how much energy we use breathing so anything to help the body to conserve energy/use it toward healing is helpful) The ICU nurses were really surprised the morning after he got the trach tube because he had figured out how to talk on his own--LOL lawyers can&#39;t keep from talking not matter what! So you claim you&#39;re ideal, eh?:)

I&#39;d say it&#39;s hard to state one number as your &quot;ideal&quot; weight. If you use BMI, and follow the recommendation that less than a 25 is normal (i.e. not overweight), you get the following:

5&#39;0&quot; &#39;2&quot; &#39;4&quot; &#39;0&quot;<div style="clear:both;"></div>

RE: height/weight ratio?

5&#39;9&quot;, 165 Lb 25% body fat
