My goal for February Fitness was 50,000 yds. I managed to squeeze in 56,600.

So how did everyone else do?

RE: February Fitness Challenge

The President of our club has offered to take everyone from our team who participates in the FFC out for breakfast if he doesn't complete 100,000 yds in February. It will be quite a feat if he makes it but if he doesn't we will have plenty to talk about over breakfast.:D

RE: February Fitness Challenge

Thank you for posting that link. I'm already signed up for the Idita-Splash (http://www.idita-splash.com/) so I might do this one as well for fun.

The Barracuda site said you could order a t-shirt, but I couldn't find a picture of it on the site...I assume it has a frog on it? Do you know what it looks like?

RE: February Fitness Challenge

Hi Brian,
Thanks for clearing up the confusion on the url address for the entry blank. I hope you and your team have a good February.

A frog design is the logo for the February Fitness Challenge each year. Down load the entry blank for the FFC from the Barracuda site. In the upper left hand corner is the frog design for this year. At the end of February send in the entry blank with your order for a T shirt, cap or whatever. It takes about 6 weeks to process everything and then we mail the results, shirts, caps and awards.
You can add the distances in from your workouts and other fitness swims you do during February as part of your total distance for the month. Have fun - get fit.

My goals for this year are simple:
Compete in my first meet ever (I just learned to swim properly for the first time last year)
Learn the butterfly stroke
Improve my *** stroke technique
Improve my speed on front crawl
Strengthen my kick
Memorize the USMS rules so I can compete in a meet (just joined recently)

RE: February Fitness Challenge

Hi Venus,

Try this one: www.barracudas.org/ffc.htm
The first time I tried I got an error message too.
It seems that I copied the period from the end of the sentence into my browser.
Thanks to the Tualatin Hills swimmers who keep the FFC alive.

See Ya
