The ones with the silicone seals seem to work a lot better than the foam seals (or no seals at all) for me. I'm not doing racing starts, though, but this is probably just a matter of adjusting the tightness of the straps if the goggles are not leaking through everything else.....

RE: Contacts and Goggles

Hi Dorothy!! :)

Thank you all for the tips. I just got contacts so I was a bit nervous about plunging in with them. I asked the doc if it was OK and he said just be sure the goggles don't leak and it's not a problem.

RE: Contacts and Goggles

My kid wears Seal Kids over her contacts, no leaks and no marks on the face so far. She also Boogie boards on the waves wearing both contacts and the Seal Kids goggles. The adult size should work as well too. Plus, you got the choice of mirror lenses that the kids don't have. clyde

RE: Contacts and Goggles

View Snyper's work great and last for up to a year before replacement.

RE: Contacts and Goggles

Try wearing your hat over your goggles!

These goggles are like swedish originals EXCEPT they have the following characteristics:

1) cushioned gasket
2) elastic nose-piece
3) small clasp for adjusting strap length (no knots needed)
4) straps that have yet (4 month, swimming 3-4x/week 1.5 hr workouts) to rot

RE: Contacts and Goggles

I have tried speedos and another brand (I think it was called Lane 4?) in the past. About a month ago, I got a pair of Baracuda's. They are awesome. The don't leak - and I don't have them tight at all. Very comfortable.

RE: Contacts and Goggles

I like Speedo Futurity Jr. They are small and stay inside the eye socket. I smear a thin layer of vaseline on the suction pad. This prevents them leaking for me

RE: Contacts and Goggles

I like Hind goggles though I have had trouble finding them in the past. goggles are a pretty personal choice; I have friends with contacts that prefer the 'flat' speedo type.

When you find a pair you like buy a dozen.

RE: Contacts and Goggles

Hiya Venus! :)

RE: Contacts and Goggles

I really like tyr racetech also.
