In our evening practice, the syncro team is practicing at the same time so we get to hear their music underwater. But, after listening to the same song, over and over for months, I'd rather have silence!

I'm trying the quote thing... I hope it works!

We too listen to the synchro music. I have also learned how to count to 8! "One-two-three-four-five-six-seven-eight," over and over as they pound on the metal ladder with the wrench used to tighten the lane lines!

Hey,wait a minute they don't use lane lines! What are they doing with the wrench?!

RE: Music

I love Aerosmith, Van Halen, Bad Company, Springsteen (his old stuff)....any good ol' ROCK AND ROLL with a fast beat and lots of guitar and drums gets me psyched up for swimming! ;)

RE: Music

Has anyone used a pool that had an underwater sound system? I know they exist. Someday, when I have my own industrial building that I have converted into a mansion, I'll probably install a sound system in the pool to jam during the workout.

Lately I've been jamming on anime soundtracks. The Cowboy Bebop soundtracks by Yoko Kanno are awesome, with the best theme song of any television show EVER. I'm also currently enjoying the soundtrack from Noir, which features a weird combination of strings and operatic vocal work set to a dance beat.

Otherwise, I listen to whatever. Different moods require different tunes, swimming or not.

RE: Music

No hard core rap for me.
