One thing I HATE is jumping into a cold pool. Sure, call me a wimp, but anyway ... Do body suits help in this regard? That is, does a body suit protect you from extreme cold water? Please let me know; you can email me direct at PeoriaBums@aol.com. Thanks for your info.

No--I don't think the body suit is going to help you much here. For warmth, you really need something like neoprene. You might look into a thin neoprene "wetsuit" style shortie--I know one of the swimming coaches locally wears one of these while giving lessons to the littler kids (who probably need the neoprene more than the coach does, seeing as he has considerable insulation of the natural variety.)

isn't that far from Pittsburgh, Jim. Perhaps when making a run up towards Cleveland you can get off at Streetsboro and head directly into Hudson and try on the fastskin of your choice? Also--do they sell just the regular competition suits? Found it hard to navigate around the site.

Jim, I remember your posting right after LC Nat's in Cleveland: "Let me be the first non-Ohioan to add my voice of gratitude to Laura Kessler and everyone else who did such a great job at the meet. I had a great time and am already making plans to bring my wife and sons back to Cleveland in the not too distant future to see the R&R museum and eat some more of the great food at places like the Great Lakes Brewery and Blue Point." So, have you been back? If not, you know the way and the last posting is right....Hudson is not far away and quite a beautiful town (in the Western Reserve) at Christmas. By the way, I think the other website for suits that you checked out (Wm. Hogg) is in PA somewhere. Swim53

I checked this site out--pretty good, though the suit I am looking for is still a little cheaper at my earlier posted link. (Note: I was $5 off--it's $165 at www.competitionswimming.com and 169.95 at the site you recommended. Maybe with differences in shipping, etc. they would end up being the same?
