you have amezed me. you are really prepared in roman history. i don't think to know as well as you this part of history. the only thingh that i know very well is the wonderful monuments that they made up. we have serious troble in escavetion because everytime we discover a new monument o building and we must protect it

The first areas were made of wood. Gladiatorial were first done as funeral games. The colosseium was built by Versperian and Titus around 78 or 79 A.D. It was the first I think to use concreate. The forum was first develop I believe around the 500's BC and much was added. Julius Caesar started his forum while he was still in Gaul. Augustus followed and several others including Trajan. One of the last arches added to the forum area was the arch of Constantine around 312 or so.

I am happy to know someone who likes the italian history. surely the Roman empire was intresting and fascinating. A big improve of art come from Roman history, thinking Colosseo, foro italico, street,bridge bilded in each part in Italy. They have a great technology to bild this monument, now we have studyed yet this technology.

Well, went on a tour of Italy about 12 years ago with a community college group. I'm a big fan of Roman history,so Italy was of interest to me. I even went to Ravenna and saw one of the churches built by Justintian, the Byzantine emperior. Seeing the forum in Rome was of interest. Remains from Republican times to late Empire, still there in the forum. In the early middle ages I read it was a cow pasture.

:p ops, I fotgot to say to Conniekat8 that your italian isn't so bad as you say. if you want speek in italian with me i happy to reply. I have to ask apology for my absence. I took flu last week and I have to jump a Italian Championship of Swimm Master. After the flu, fortunally, I started my thesis in university (i have to study a new solid rocket propellent). thanks a lot for the nice reception that we reserved to me. sparx i don't understand all you tell me. if you want try to explane better. Conniekat8, I am very happy to know someone who came in Italy for FINA games. I will take my athlete ad FINA games and i hope to make the limit. I suggest to come in Italy for FINA games and to stay here for holiday. If someone need information to organize perfectly this trip i offer my help. see you soon

Well, that's all the italian I remember, I bet I messed it up well. I used to live just 40 miles from Italian border, and knew little more italian, oh, about 15 years ago. If I'm gonna go visit Riccione and FINA games, I better brush up on it. I think I'll be just a spectator, I'm nowhere near being able to qualify. It will be a good excuse for a trip, and then contionue on to Croatia visit my Mom and Dad whom I haven't seen in a *few* years. Oh, and instead of "Dove e il bagno" I'll have to learn.. Dove e il... um How do you say "Swimming Pool" in Italian?

thanks mark and eliana2003, now i understand all. also in my team our coach workout are maximum 3 for week.2 of this training are made by me and i teach the technique, drills and so on. compliments for the very very very big family, 42,000 members aren't few. i need learn english for my further work, for knowing all cultures and for speek with people who came from other country. i'm studying airspace engigneering and i like a lot airspace world. i am strange person, i like air (for work),water with chlorine and mountain (for passion). i am chuffed to talk with yours see you soon

what mean coched workout? Bokko, you answered your own question! Coached workouts, at least for my Masters' team, is pretty much the same as "training." For example, our coach e-mails us a planned workout for every time we meet which is three times a week. He is there twice a week to supervise our progress in stroke technique, drills, et cetera. Also, the coach keeps in mind upcoming meets we will be attending (like 13 December). ... want know the big master family. United States Masters Swimming is indeed a big "family" here with over 42,000 members. Many masters teams can be compared to one's "second family." Right, Jean? Don't apologize for your English! A friend of mine, whom I see at the pool, is from Napoli and has been in this country for 20+ years. And, his English is still improving! thank you very much jean, USMS is like our FIN (Federazione Italiana Nuoto) or UISP (Unione Italiana Sport Per tutti). Also us, we have different category dipending to age. For example M40 come from 40 to 44 year like yours. what mean coched workout? i don't understand the meaning of workout, is it same to trainin? thank you also for the compliments for my english, but i need a lot of pratice to pass a university test (TOEFL) if you want write in italian you can go to the forum of my website, my nick name is the same see you soon

US Masters swimming is an organization for swimmers 19 years old and older. Swimmers compete against other swimmers in their age group. An example of an age group is 40-44, which includes all swimmers between the ages of 40 and 44. Not everybody in masters swimming compete. Some like to swim with others in a coached workout or some just swim for the exercise. Your English is a lot better than my Italian - that's for sure. :-)
