I was wondering what other sports you all compete in or do other than swimming? If so, what are they? Basketball, football, martial arts, weight lifting, cardio kickboxing? Also, how many times a week do you do this along with swimming

RE: What other sports do you participate in?

Paul O'Neill, the surliest major leaguer of the 90's (loved the facial contortions--it's a game, Paul...lighten up).

RE: What other sports do you participate in?

sports/physical activities:

oh, yes, it is Paul o'Neil, former Yankee, soon to be hall of famer

Paul was a very good player with a fine career, but I think it's a little bit of an exaggeration to think he'll make it the the HOF.

Other sports I participate in: snow skiing, tennis, hiking.

RE: What other sports do you participate in?

exrunner: I don't know what you mean......

I used to play soccer (2 practices plus a game per week) but now I am an assistant coach to my daughter's team (same # of practices and one game per week). Technically I am the conditioning coach, so I bring a lot of my xcountry, track, and swimming background to her team. As much as I miss playing, I at least get a bit of a run around a couple times a week and get to spend time with my daughter and her friends.

I run, depending on my schedule, 2 - 5 times per week. If I miss a pool session then I try to run that day. I, too, have a dog who requires me to run! And while it is too dangerous to ever encourage your dog to enter a pool, in the summer I do swim with him...we live next to the ocean, and he will happily swim a kilometre or two with me. Sometimes his tail gets tired (dogs use their tails like rudders). The main difference, however, between dogs and people swimming is that people smell better after swimming, while dogs smell....doggy.

RE: What other sports do you participate in?

I try to ride my bike a couple times of week for an hour or so apiece .. and then use it for as many errands and trips to work (nearby) as possible.

RE: What other sports do you participate in?

My exercise routine includes swimming, weight room, and cycling. also, hiking for miles and miles once a week.

running--just came out of therapy and can do over 3 miles now, 3 times a week. Will build up to 30 or so miles a week

cycling--going by time, about 3 or more hours a week, indoor for winter

weights--once or twice a week, an hour each session (and hopefully Paul O'Neil is there...you know I have a crush on him)

hiking--however long the hike is! 5 miles takes about an hour and half, depending on terrain (which is mostly hilly around here)

*please note, I'm training for tri's. because of injuries I've started now...

hope this wasn't boring!

good week everybody!
