Now none of this is meant to dissolve Ion of blame because in most respects he desrves more contempt than Tom, but let&#39;s not pretend that Tom and TJ or whoever else got involved in that ugliness was doing so to defend the honour of USMS or Eddie Reese, or whatever hackneed reason you can come up with!

Lefty...no problem....the reason I said anything was in this quote you say the reason I got involved was for other reasons. What reasons did I get involved then? Like I told Ion in the other forum, and he knows this to be true, I have agreed with him on some issues, and disagreed on others.

Personally, I couldn&#39;t stand to see someone bashed over a decision that was made and in hindsight was the wrong choice, by a person who claims to have facts that weren&#39;t available then.

Hope that last sentence makes sense.

What!?!?!?... that&#39;s just silly now! Where&#39;s mr. Moose! He&#39;ll sort this out. I&#39;ve always enjoyed your posts, swimming input and great sense of humor! what on earth are you talking about?

I&#39;ve never met Tom personally, but I&#39;ve learned enough to want him to stick around.

A while ago, I started an (off-topic) thread celebrating Tom&#39;s sense of humor (or maybe it was Mr. Moose). I thnk it was entertaining, but after a time, Tom mentioned it was a little more attention than he was comfortable with. Having a measure of humility is one reason why people want to defend him, because (normally) Tom would rather be quiet than raise a fuss.

Or maybe it is because Tom is too busy celebrating being able to swim today, rather than advertising how past events have limited his swimming speed (like some other poster has done).<div style="clear:both;"></div>

RE: how many posts??

997

Her has had 48 posts on the USA Swiiming forums in the last 8 days defending the USMS honor. If he posted here, he would be close to the 1000 mark. Now you might ask what does that have to do with USMS forums? Well considering the posts that he is responding to over there started here and were locked out and one of the posters over there is a famous poster here, its like there is no difference.

He has been called a troll, preacher, and politican that does not provide swimming data and only makes personal attacks. But we know that is not true. He only responds to whats going on in his own way, with the seriousness and humor that makes him unique. He has been very busy over the 4th of July weekend with contributing to 168 posts about the 400 Free Relay that shattered the record at USA Swimming.<div style="clear:both;"></div>

RE: how many posts??
