Well I guess the rest of us will just have to wait but want to congratulate u on whatever u are so giddy about. It must be good. U can always go to the fina website from the USMS top 10 page and view ur name all u want after its posted. Hopefully next week. I wouldn't hold my breath. Thanz for getting the info tho.

I emailed Walt, who said FINA will post the Top 10 next week. He also kindly emailed me the results from my age group but asked me not to post publicly. Suffice it to say, I am one giddy quintenarian...

Oh, come on Jim, a lot of little boys and girls that don't have flexability or balance in grade school get C grades in PE. These days many grade schools don't even have PE or Recess, which is probably why so many kids are overweight. I was good to fair in PE in grade school, one of the few bright spots in myearly school career, since I learn to read and write later than the norm. Anyways, you have been at swimming for many years, granted you are doing good times for your age but it isn't like you took off a 30 year break like some of us. I'm not putting you down but some people perform better with age than others and those that have been doing master swimming from their 20's to 50 years old are probably going to be closer to their times when they were younger than some of us that took a big break from the sport or don't fair as well with aging.

Jim When u talk to Walt will u let us know when he plans on sending the list to Fina??? Then we will know that it will take about another month before Fina publishes it. Thanz

Joy, If you or anybody else out there knows Walter's email, would you write him and ask him if he would consider an "unofficial" posting of the FINA to 10 times here in this forum? I am particularly interested in the men's 50-54 age group. Also, we are talking long course meters, right, from last summer's nationals and other 2002 meets. Thanks. I suppose the alternative is I could just be patient.

Jim U can email Walt Read who does the World Rankings. He was very late last yr but it got even later because he only sends it to Fina, then u have to wait until they decide to post it. It's just a waiting game. I made world's in a few events but will have to wait and see where I placed when they come out. No celebration just alot of training to try and stay there.

If I remember correctly, they usually post late April, early May. Perhaps. Maybe. Know what I mean? We (USMS) only posted our official list recently (couple of weeks ago).
