I've spent a great deal of time searching for the 200' Lufkin steel tape measures. The 100' are fairly easy to find and also relatively inexpensive, but we will need the 200' to measure our 50 meter pools. Items 1808 and 1808D will probably serve our purpose.

I went to the Lufkin site and found a catalog in PDF format. You can find it at www.coopertools.com/.../lufkin.pdf . I'm not asking for USMS to endorse any particular tape but before my LMSC goes out and buys one can someone tell me if this Lufkin tape would be considered appropriate? Catalog # C216 UPC # 037103451606 It's listed in the catalog with full specifications. This one is 100 feet. It's listed on page 15 of the PDF document I reference above.

I would suggest a Lufkin tape. They make them up to 100 yards and the accuracy is sufficient for measuring pools (better than 0.005 meters). They have a web site but they are part of a conglomerate so a Google search of Lufkin Tape will find it. Leo
