My normal training amount is 12 - 15

RE: deltoid pain - am I doomed now?

Ice for first 24hrs, no more than 10mins at a time, heat thereafter. Keep it loose but rested. Often, sore muscles hurt worse overnight as they relax (ie We are not guarding our injury, or icing/medicating). If you are in pain, stop. If it's a touch tender or sore, take it easy.

RE: deltoid pain - am I doomed now?

Oo. One of my favorite remedies is to make an appointment with a doctor. By the time the appointment actually rolls around, it's almost always better ;)

RE: deltoid pain - am I doomed now?

I wouldn't skip it unless it hurts before or during. But I'm not a doctor or an expert. Icing it sounds like the right thing to do. You may have aggravated it while you were sleeping. My rule of thumb is if it doesn't go away after a few days with ice and not doing anything really crazy, then worry. Before that, complaining and icing usually works.
