Now I need a new set. I'm looking at --TYR sport burner as the replacement.
Anyone with these have a review? OR what do you use for team workouts? I wear a men's 11 1/2 or 12 with a wide foot.

RE: looking for new fins for practice

No practice is weekend --- an age group swim meet took over the pool.

RE: looking for new fins for practice

I have decided to try fins at practice from other swimmers to see/feel what I am looking for.

RE: looking for new fins for practice

My favorite are Speedo Switchblades. They're longer than zoomers, so they give you more power, but not so much that it inhibits your flutter kick like long fins do. I'd been a long fin wearer for 20+ years prior to this year, then switched to Switchblades. Very comfortable and I like them much better overall.

RE: looking for new fins for practice

Are Finis Zoomer short fins silicone and soft or hard ?

Zoomers are soft rubber. I have wide feet also and they are very comfortable for me.

Mine are a couple of years old and have stretched out a bit. Occasionally I'll knock one off when doing a flip turn, but no big deal.

RE: looking for new fins for practice

forgot to mention I also have very wide feet, typically 11.5 - 12

RE: looking for new fins for practice

I'll look into those as well. If you're interested in short fins, I love the Kiefer silicone fins, which are much more comfortable than the typical rubber (no chafing). For long fins, I've been using Tritan brand for a while now.
