No practice is weekend --- an age group swim meet took over the pool.

I have decided to try fins at practice from other swimmers to see/feel what I am looking for.

My favorite are Speedo Switchblades. They're longer than zoomers, so they give you more power, but not so much that it inhibits your flutter kick like long fins do. I'd been a long fin wearer for 20+ years prior to this year, then switched to Switchblades. Very comfortable and I like them much better overall.

Are Finis Zoomer short fins silicone and soft or hard ? Zoomers are soft rubber. I have wide feet also and they are very comfortable for me. Mine are a couple of years old and have stretched out a bit. Occasionally I'll knock one off when doing a flip turn, but no big deal.

For something completely different Kicks fins. Super comfy, great for UW’s and acceleration off walls

I carry two sets of fins in my bag: a pair of Speedo Trialon long fins, and some Finis Zoomer short fins. I find both are relatively comfortable. I'll pull out whichever pair is more appropriate for the set or drill that I'm doing.

Kiefer silicone fins are what I have and yes they are very comfy. I was looking for something new to try.

What kind of Kiefer fins did you have before? If you're interested in short fins, I love the Kiefer silicone fins, which are much more comfortable than the typical rubber (no chafing). For long fins, I've been using Tritan brand for a while now.
