I have a TYR alliance that I would say runs big in the hips and thighs, but the hems are not super stretchy and if you're tall they'd be tight above the knee.

RE: best suit for male with larger legs

That is an excellent question. Manufacturers should provide additional parameters of fit, like length. I have fit issues too, in length - can’t find a suit in my size that’s long enough. Still have a half foot of uncovered leg above the knee. Even after stretching leg seams down and wearing it low.

In your case it would appear you would need a custom made suit

RE: best suit for male with larger legs

My background is speedskating and cycling, my legs (quads) tend to be a bit too big for a lot of the suits, anyone here have the same problem and found a suit that fits their legs, but is not too big in the waist? my 27 Speedo Lzr is more generous than my 28 Arena Carbon Flex.

RE: best suit for male with larger legs

I have rather large legs from cycling. As a general rule, I wear a brief, and usually the smallest side works best (Arena has some with 2" sides that I prefer).

On the rare occasion that I swim in a meet, I am able to squeeze into a jammer, and do for events of 400/500 and shorter. I can't keep it on very long. Any longer events, and I wear a Speedo Fastskin brief.

RE: best suit for male with larger legs

My only thought is that no swimmer in history has ever been built like you, so I can’t imagine you’ll find a suit that fits. Only guess would be to try the one Adam Peaty wears. Good luck.
