This time- to cut off a bunion and straighten a big toe. At this stage it is still optional as to whether to go through it. I understand that it is quite painful and the recovery could be long, and it could affect swimming

RE: Foot surgery- wise decision, recovery time

Yeah, my big decision is whether to put it off for a year or so, in order that I can get to the magical point of aging up to a new age group and get a few meets in before the surgery.

That would be a very time consuming and scary recovery.
Take the time to do it the right way!!

RE: Foot surgery- wise decision, recovery time

I've had it but on the little toe. Way easier. It was nothing. Easier than a Morton's Neuroma survey. I couldn't swim until the steri-strips had fallen off. Hope this helps!
