This winter I started swimming to maintain my fitniss which I built all over the year by cycling a lot. Winter is always bringing my fitness down, so I decided to swim 3 times a week this winter, one hour each time. I see some first progress now

RE: How to strength my leg muscles?

Bonjour Thomas. effortlessswimming.com/.../

I tried it only by today. Kicking breastroke is the most easiest, freestyle is tough.Merci, Thomas.

RE: How to strength my leg muscles?

Kicking using a kick board works well. Lots of swimmers don't kick a lot while swimming, so using a kick board to focus on the legs is very beneficial.

RE: How to strength my leg muscles?

Tom. Basically you squat down and powerfully try to jump out of the pool in the streamline position for sets of 10. I believe it was called darters. I found really when you work legs, as long as you don't really isolate legs, you really work the entire body.

RE: How to strength my leg muscles?

Bonjour Thomas. The swimming should help, and doing both the *** and crawl/freestyle will develop your legs in different ways with different muscle groups. One thing you could do to focus on your legs more is find the deep end of the pool and do some vertical kicking. You can make it harder by raising your arms higher. Start with 60 second intervals where you're kicking hard, then take a 30 second break where you're kicking easily. If you add fins, it will also change up the intensity. effortlessswimming.com/.../
