I had a minor stroke in 1987 from plaque buildup, have an artificial aortic valve which was replaced July 26, 1991, 25 years ago. I have since run about 25,000 miles, 330 road, trail and track races, thrown shot and discus, often done upwards of 4,000 pushups per month, and oh yeah, I swim a mile or so several days a week.
