The mankini has its advantages. While the other team is standing on the deck in shock, and/or, laughing their heads off, you are off the starting block to win that particular heat! Its a competitive advantage you should utilize. :agree:

RE: College swim team

See --- Are you now glad you checked in with us for some important advice???? :D

RE: College swim team

Gull and Glenn, any more of this and you'll put us all in a coma.

RE: College swim team

I guess you are not a Vampire Weekend fan.

School exams have just taken place here in the UK. Nowadays, if students simply spell their name correctly at the top of the paper, this gives them a good pass mark which allows them to get to University. Many fail to get this right and are not accepted.

RE: College swim team

Yikes. thanks for your help

You can also try to set up a pre-season meeting with your coach/assistant coach to ask any questions you may have about starting up with the team (what their style of workouts are, yardage, expectations, and so forth). While you're there, as a side question, you can ask about the suits that the guys on the team normally wear. That will hopefully help prepare you overall for a great start to the season!

RE: College swim team

Job apps are online now, welcome to the 1990s.

Practice suits are usually swimmer's choice. I recommend to practice in a suit similar to what you will compete in. I my experience (male) college swimmer's and (male) water polo players all wear briefs, none wear jammers. You're overthinking it. Whatever type of swimsuit that college team wore last Semester, they will be wearing the next Semester.

If you want to worry about something worry about your workout sessions, qualifying times, and swim meets.

Club Teams are not so lucky they have to purchase their own equipment, swimsuit, etc.

RE: College swim team

I said "first step" Elaine.
