You might be a swimmer if.. You thought the women's low-cut practice suits were sexier than a bikini. (well guys anyways) You've ever smelled chlorine and missed swimming. You've ever smelled chlorine and gone down memory lane. You hear the words taper and are excited. You would rather watch swimming than the other sports when the Olymipics come on. You know who Mark Spitz is.

You know you are a swimmer when you get a job that will allow you to have free access to the pool, and be able to do you workouts and get paid for it at the same time. You know you are a swimmer when you try to help anyone you see who has a technique flaw by explaining what they are doing, how it affects the stroke, they way it should be done and when you explain why and then they get it, they get very excited and thank you. You know you are a swimmer when you get a rush out of helping someone elses swimming.

you pay $20 bucks to swim out of town. outside in 50 degree weather with fog That sounds neat! Except paying for it, but better than not. :) You go to B.C. hot springs (Radium Springs) and start stroking.

You know you are a swimmer when... ...you have 64 swimming-related t-shirts in your closet (seriously--I just counted). --Anna Lea Anna you should make a couple of tee shirt quilts - I have two that I wrap up in at swim meets, they are warm even when they get damp. That way you can still see and enjoy the shirts and they aren't taking up space in your drawers or closet.

Anna you should make a couple of tee shirt quilts - I have two that I wrap up in at swim meets, they are warm even when they get damp. In the truest sense, when you can swim as easily as you can walk, not having to think and feel each individual stroke. When people ask you why you have no leg hair, or why it looks so weird, because it takes a couple months to grow back. When you radiate the smell of chlorine. When your hair is destroyed form spending 2-3 hours a day, 6 days a week in chlorinated water. When your friends ask you if you're high because you have bloodshot eyes from the chlorine.

You realize theres no other pool open close by so you go to the local gym's pool with strange debris of bugs and hair, toilet paper scurrying on the bottom, the water a shade of green, and a Sasquatch looking guy getting out of the pool asking, "You're not gonna swim in that are you?"
