I will be there in July for a conference from the 20-23. I have looked on swimmers guide but the lap swim times for a city like SA are horrible.

Ande, hotel pool would be the last option. I have contacted Don Walker.

Where are you going to stay? Will you have a car?
Most conferences are near the riverwalk / downtown.
My first suggestion is swim in the hotel pool.
Incarnate Word University is pretty close

You have enough fur that swimming in the Riverwalk should be just fine. If you want some chlorine, though, and have a car, head up to the Josh Davis Natatorium (25Y/M) and Bill Walker Pool (50M) -- www.neisd.net/.../aquatics.html. I had great swims in both pools there a couple of years ago when I was there for a conference.

RE: San Antonio

I was in San Antonio several years ago and I swam at a YMCA. I paid on the first day and when I went back the next day, they said that my pass was good for 24 hours and I didn't have to pay for the second day! I stayed near the Riverwalk and I walked to they Y - it was a bit of a hike - but I counted it as my dry land.

RE: San Antonio

Ande, hotel pool would be the last option.

Actually, the River Walk itself would technically be the last option... Although you wouldn't have to worry about clogging any drains if you swam there!
