For turns I think the answer is to adjust going in to set up a better turn, but for finishes, not so sure

RE: How do you finish a breaststroke race?

Ok, all kidding aside. I have seen elite swimmers just short stroke the finish rather than adjust the last three strokes. Wondering what's fastest.

I guess what's fastest is not having to adjust and still finishing in an extended position!

RE: How do you finish a breaststroke race?

Ok, all kidding aside. The ideal way to finish any breastroke race is streamlined fully extended head neutral just as you finish a kick
Free, Fly and back are arm driven strokes, *** is leg driven

RE: How do you finish a breaststroke race?

With two hands, separated.

RE: How do you finish a breaststroke race?

Patrick W. For turns I think the answer is to adjust going in to set up a better turn, but for finishes, not so sure. I always adjust in the last five yards to finish extended.
