It KILLS ME to see so much negativity about people's goals and what they want to do. You know what, you're right! I have only just joined this forum, so I don't know too much about it. I really meant in general; people around my age especially doubt that they can drop .1 seconds in anything. It's frustrating to me that the "kids" who have the most potential to get faster don't believe they can. So sorry about that.

Just wanted to share a story! And Ande, I read that guide a while back and shared it with my whole team! It's awesome!

RE: The Sky is the Limit; USA swim is all-powerful

I don't see a lot of negativity about people's goals on this forum. Not sure where you are seeing this. This is a masters swimming forum (where most of us are decades older than you) and almost everyone here has been encouraging and upbeat for the many years I've been lurking/posting. That said, good luck with your swimming!

RE: The Sky is the Limit; USA swim is all-powerful

I just wanted to share this and inspire someone. You CAN drop tons of time.

Thanks! At 45 I am waiting impatiently for the next two-year period in my life during which I grow two inches and put on fifteen pounds of muscle mass. The last such growth spurt happened for me between the ages of 14 and 16, and I dropped about 5 seconds in the 100 back; so the next one has got to be just around the corner.

RE: The Sky is the Limit; USA swim is all-powerful

Patrick W. Wish me luck for my senior year, or don't, it doesn't matter. Good luck. Crank it out, drop heaps of time and have fun doing it!

I don't see a lot of negativity about people's goals on this forum. I wholeheartedly agree.

Tyler Guitar, check out Ande's Swimming Faster Faster thread for some great tips that you can apply to go even faster.

RE: The Sky is the Limit; USA swim is all-powerful

Welcome!!!
