+1 The bonus: I'll have accurate seed times so everyone will quit calling me a sandbagger! :afraid: You were in my heat of the 500. I could see you for a while, but I started breathing in the other direction and lost you. When I started breathing towards the rest of the pool again I couldn't see you and knew you were either ahead or behind me by a fair amount. When I went into the turn for the last 50 I thought, "I guess I'll find out now." No bell for me! In my opinion, you were a rabbit, not a sandbagger. :agree:

I agree!! This was my first time at Auburn, and I LOVED it!!! I also set a PB there, so I left VERY happy! It was great seeing Elaine, Dianne and Judd!! Next up is the St. Pat's meet in Atlanta!!! WHEEEEE! Hope to see some of you at our home meet on March 16th in Murfreesboro, TN Congratulations on you PB, Moody! It was great seeing you, too! And, I'll see you at St. Pat's. as well. :D

Tried it out after the warm-ups on Sunday for a bit. Was good fun & the warm water felt great. I'm not sure i could get past the self-criticism that comes with seeing myself though! And I would miss my swimming friends & the variation of sets & strokes.

Did anybody try out the Endless Pool? :banana: It was awesome to be able to watch my stroke while swimming, rather than just on a video. They had a mirror on the bottom of the pool, one tilted so you could watch your stroke from a more head-on position, and one mounted up above for backstroke. The immediate feedback on my hand placement was very helpful; I was reaching a little too far on backstroke with my right arm, so I corrected to the 1-2:00 position. I sure wish I could afford to have one of these at home! :agree:

First time I've swam there & I have to say it was wonderful. From being on-time, to all the helpful volunteers, to the wonderful Auburn Masters group....such a great time. New Best Friend Massage Therapist Kenzie was a miracle-worker with my neck & probably saved my Sunday. What a great experience, I'll definitely be back next year! Definitely another great event! Thanks Conner and AMS! They always manage to put just the right amount of gofast in the water. Elaine introduced me to Celestial but neglected to point out Jethro, Britt and Patrick. Maybe next year. I'm not nearly as fast as Swimosaur makes me out to be. I'm not even sure I could get third place in his age group. As for swimmer of the meet... that has to go to ekw. She beat me down on the race that mattered... 200 backstroke. I'll be ready next year though. Aw, shucks! We'll make it a gridge next year. :agree:

Never mind... I'm familiar with her wake. Somehow I ended up next to her in the 200 Br. :( After getting destroyed in the 100 br, I needed a good swim.... you should thank me for giving you a good draft. :) It would have been helpful... if it weren't coming at me :). I tried to stay with you for 25 yds hoping you were going to go closer to your seed time. When I realized I was going full sprint speed, I backed off and let you go. Nice swim! Well, I'm glad to see that introduction went swimmingly. :bolt: Now, for another introduction, although, I thought I did introduce you two: 7194 This is PatrickJM (Patrick McCarthy), also in the photo of my relay team, posted above. As for Jethro, I only saw him briefly when he introduced himself to me. After that, I missed him on deck, because he was sitting across the pool from us.

This was my first Auburn meet and it was wonderful. Kudos to everyone involved in putting it on - Conner, the officials, the Tiger Splashers, the lifeguards, the water polo and triathlon clubs who ran the concessions stands, the massage therapists I heard such good things about but didn't visit myself, and All American Swim for bringing such a nice selection of stuff for me to spend money on. :applaud:

It is always great to swim at Auburn; Connor and his team do a fabulous job!!! .. Swim gets the award for the most difficult race line-up ... To be fair, both pmccoy and ekw swam more difficult programs than me; having learned my lesson last year, I skipped the 500 free on day two in favor of a mere 50 back. Peter & Ellen also posted multiple personal bests, won high point awards, & get my votes for male & female swimmers of the meet! Well done!
