In response to school violence issues they have started a new security feature. During the lunch swim (10:30-2:00 p.m.) a lap swim regular must rent an &quot;Intella-key&quot; from the school. This key only fits door # 20 which leads to the pool lobby. If a swimmer wants to swim and doesn&#39;t have a key they have to enter and sign in at the Freshman Center (far from pool entrance) and be escorted over by a school police officer. They only use this procedure while students are in the building. If the lap swim is after hours anyone can come into the pool lobby and swim. There is also a school police station by this door btw. During summer lap swim they do not use this program either. At the end of the school year swimmers can return their key and get their $40.00 deposit back.<div style="clear:both;"></div>
