I thought I was bad at -7.5, but you've got me beat. I have been using View goggles with replaceable lenses for many years and they are durable and comfortable. I would never use anything else! I see on the Sporteyes site that they come in -10.0 strength. Highly recommended. www.sporteyes.com/vju.htm Got them and yes they are comfortable, and with the -10 I am close to fully corrected. -14 myopia here. (Yes.) The only type of prescription goggles we could find that strong leaked horribly and gave my face a rash around the edges of the eye cups. So I ditched them and have successfully gone with with contact lenses + ordinary swedes ever since. Wow, you got me beat. I ordered the -10 from View, jaegermeister. That will be close enough. Now if it only makes me faster....Tom

I have used a pair of Kiefer's generic for awhile. I feel your pain! Initially they didn't come in my prescription, which isn't quite as bad as yours, but I think they have added some strengths are being added--or that might have been my scuba mask from another vendor. Haven't checked Kiefers to see how high they go now. The good news for me--I have cateracts developing, so sometime in the near future my distanct vision will be corrected with implant prescription lenses. Lainey

Is there some reason you can't fix the problem at the source? Thanks for all the replies. Swimosaur, I've been fine with glasses all my life and I'm not gonna change now. In the pool, my only problem is that I can't see the set on the whiteboard with the -8 I get off the rack - almost. There's no doubt a -10 would fix that. I don't like to be constantly asking "what are we doing now?".

A friend of mine wears contact lenses with his regular goggles.

A second on the Barracudas, there are several types to choose from and a eye dr. can make a Rx for you. They are more pricy but the seals straps can be replaced with a kit that Barracuda sells, They can last for many years.

My prescription is -11. -11? Really? Yikes! I am sure you've been down this road already, but my first reaction is that prescription goggles are but a finger in the ***. Surveys of LASIK find rates of patient satisfaction between 92 and 98 percent ... 92-98% is pretty good odds. Is there some reason you can't fix the problem at the source?

I have a whole box (~12-14 pair) of prescription googles from -2.5 to -5.5; but I got lasik surgery to correct my vision. If anyone know anyone who might want some Rx googles, I'd be happy to ship them to someone who could get some use of these "gently used" Rx goggles. Hi All, My prescription is -11. I use the -8 that are readily available but still can't quite see the set on the whiteboard. I see I can get -10 online and then I'm sure I wouldn't have to keep asking "what are we doing?" Any recommendations? Just did a quick google search for prescription swim goggles and saw these: seavenger.com/prescription-swim-goggle-with-optical-corrective-mirrored-metallized-polarized-lenses-black-p-1560.html They seem to be quite strong! Perhaps they would work? I did not look for others. I, happily, am still able to swim with -5.0. Good luck! Izzzz
