There were so many fish and plants, I felt like I was in some kind of flora and fauna traffic jam! :afraid: I hung on for about 500 yards and then I just couldn't get out of there fast enough. (Maybe I shouldn't have worn goggles!) Thankfully I have been back in the pristine surroundings of my favorite pool.

This kind of thing utterly baffles me. People are freaked out by signs that the water isn't poisoned and reassured by lifeless sterility.

Doesn't your skin let you know how unhealthful chlorine is? Mine does.

RE: See, stay out of the lakes!!

I'm going to the Amazon ---I'll wear "something" to prevent the bites!!!

For some reason, a few years ago, every time I went into the water, somethign would try to take a taste of me. Once, it was scary (but pretty funny, too)

Lately, beavers seem to shadow me in the water.

I haven't seen it myself, but with two different bodies of water, I was told after getting out that there was a beaver following me and folks on the shore thought it might attack.

I think it might be the result of a poorly phrased wish I made on my 15th birthday.

I rarely swim places where sharks hang out.

I wear a swim suit in any lake that has snapping turtles. Just saying.

RE: See, stay out of the lakes!!

On the contrary, it does bear thinking about especially if you plan to swim in that lake!

RE: See, stay out of the lakes!!

Wookie should swim there

RE: See, stay out of the lakes!!

I’ve had a couple of nips on my toes in the past few months.
