I have not seen that in Masters other than really new swimmers to the sport !

Did anyone catch Daniela Schreiber's start in the Women's 100 Free? She was Heat 1, Lane 8 in the Semis. Old school stand up start. No grab. Hands behind her. Awesome. And it also looked like she was leading at the 25. I saw that too! I was shocked, I even wondered if she had a back problem.

I think she had her feet staggered with the back one on the wedge.

Did she have both feet at the front of the block or did she use a track start?

This will be Chris' new start. Mark Kutz, on those few occasions he swims, does this start and combines it with a windup. And he swims without goggles. No school like the old school.

She did it the same way in the qualifying heat. Very surprising, but she did seem to get out fast.
