GLAD workouts now scheduled. 6:30-8:00 AM every sat 7/28 - sat 9/15 except 8/18. gladswim.wetpaint.com/.../Colman Pool Ah, Green Lake Aqua Ducks. I thought GLAD stood for Gay & *** something or other.

This year it's all fresh water and the weather forecast is for sun throughout the Seattle Open. Can you believe it?!!

The pool did open on Saturday. The pool will not open until 3:00 p.m. on Thursday through Saturday of this week because of the the Senior Seattle Open. That also would mean no GLAD Saturday morning workout. I think the pool is closed completely next Friday and Saturday due to the Age Group Seattle Open. So looks like the first chance for a GLAD Saturday workout will be July 21st. Ahhhh...the memories of hiking down through the park to get to the Seattle Open meets way back in the day...only to sit there freezing our @sses off, huddled together beneath the tarps as the cold rain would always be pouring down on us. And who can't hate the taste when you first jump into the pool...1/2 chlorine-1/2 saltwater or whatever it is.
