His dad also owned Granny Goose foods in Oakland. I'm from nearby Palo Alto.

One summer going back from L.A., my boogie board would not fit with all the other stuff in my car. Fred had a VW van so he took it for me. When I went to his house to pick it up the maid who answered only spoke Tagalog. She was NOT happy with what she though I was suggesting with the word 'boogie".

RE: USC's getting a new aquatics center

My understanding was that it was an overhaul of the existing pool, plus enhancement with new spectator seating and other stuff.

Yeah, looking at the schematics, it looks like a renovation & it's in the same location.

RE: USC's getting a new aquatics center

Patrick W. Kind of strange that a facility built for the 1984 Olympics already needs to be replaced, then again I've never been there so I don't know how nice the existing pool is.My understanding was that it was an overhaul of the existing pool, plus enhancement with new spectator seating and other stuff.

RE: USC's getting a new aquatics center

So presumably this is going to replace the existing McDonald's Olympic pool?
