Also, enjoyed your 200 Brst yesterday Robert. Showing the free stylers how it's done! It was quite a good meet, I thought. I normally don't enjoy the more regional masters meets. My 200 *** was a bit too graceful, really, but I wasn't feeling up to a full-blooded effort...

Do you have to submit times to FINA done in USMS meets for entry into the top 10? Are swims conducted at a USAS meet eligible for submission? I would have made it in the 200 *** if I had submitted my times, but not sure what the protocol is. They must be in masters meets. Normally, at our meets in the UK, the meet organisers will state whether the times will be submitted to the ASA for ranking purposes. It is USMS in your case that would submit times to FINA.

It does. These are the kind of things that keep me going to the pool. I can't imagine swimming without the competitive aspect. :cheerleader:

I have a lifelong history of getting second place in things lol. #2 in the 200 fly and made my first all time top ten with that as well (10th)!

As Chris mentioned these times do not count with FINA but they do for USMS.

The National Swims Administrator (Mary Beth Windrath), who compiles the USMS Top Ten, submits eligible times to FINA for top ten consideration. Unlike USMS, FINA does not consider times done at USA-S or other Recognized meets (like Senior Games) to be valid for top ten or records. So those times don't get submitted.

Hi all I know that USMS main SC meet is yards, but anyway, the FINA Top 10s are out for SCM and LCM for 2011. www.fina.org/.../index.php I managed an 8th in the 200 ***, just about maintaining my 100% presence in the top 10s since I started swimming masters.
