Pool length Measurement and TT swims

There is a great deal of discussion on the SCM TT thread about pool measurements and disallowed swims,but when it flowed over onto the Swim Faster Faster thread I thought it deserved it's own thread.To briefly recap- the Canada SCM Nationals didn't count for USMS TT (or NR) because the pool measurements did not meet USMS standards. A major meet U.S. Masters Swimming Discussion Forums - View Single Post - Preliminary Top 10 Listings Available for SCM 2011 also had measurement problems. I don't want to redo the whole discussion,but I thought this important topic deserved it's own thread. The Canadian Nationals times of American swimmers did not count towards USMS Top 10! I am shocked! Why has this not been mentioned before?:canada:

Me thinks you're just trying to get to that elusive 3,000th post. He better get it this year, that's all I'm saying. These commemorative "Allen 3K 2012" shirts weren't cheap!
