Thanks for the link. I wish they would televise the state meet in Texas. I had the thought that the pool was shallow when the backstrokers were standing before the start. Are you saying that is the deep end? Yep. Shallow is about 18" shallower.

Two other details about that swim. One, it's at altitude (but you don't get an altitude adjustment for a record, only a qual. time). Secondly, that pool is god-awful slow. Goes from maybe 5' down to 3.5'. If you watch it live, look where the water level is when the girls finish at the deep end.
