TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Please read the important information below. In order to proceed with your search you must confirm you have read and accept these terms and conditions of use.

Global DRO does not provide an exhaustive list of ingredients and brands. If the ingredient or brand is not listed, there is no assurance that it is permitted. WADA prohibits categories of substances, therefore substances that are not specifically listed in the database may still be prohibited as part of a category. You are responsible for pursuing the status of any ingredient or brand not listed.

Global DRO does not contain information on, or that applies to, dietary supplements. If a component of a supplement is listed in this database as permitted, the status of any supplement that includes the ingredient is at your own risk.

You are responsible for the correct entry of the spelling of the ingredient or brand and for the selection of all other search parameters. UKAD, CCES, and USADA are not responsible for the incorrect entry of search criteria. You should compare the results of your search with the spelling on the packaging. You must also check the route of administration by which the medication will be used.

Global DRO provides athletes and their support personnel with information about the prohibited status of specific substances. All information is based on the current World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA) Prohibited List.

Global DRO provides information for ingredients and brands available in the United Kingdom (UKAD), Canada (CCES), and the United States (USADA). Brands purchased abroad may contain different ingredients and therefore Global DRO only provides brand information for the specific country chosen.

While every effort has been made by UKAD, CCES, and USADA to ensure the accuracy and completeness of the information in this database, UKAD, CCES, and USADA do not accept responsibility for any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies that may arise. To ensure that the information in this database is accurate and complete, there can be time delays between the change in status of a given substance and the subsequent data updates.

Global DRO does not provide medical advice. In providing information on various ingredients and brands the Global DRO partners are not making any recommendation concerning treatment. The decisions about which medications are to be used are your responsibility. If you are unsure about which medication to take, you should always consult with your medical care provider in advance of taking it.

Global DRO does not endorse specific brands or products. The listing or status of any ingredient or brand does not imply an endorsement or recommendation for use.

You are responsible for knowing the rules of your sport, including the anti-doping rules. If you participate in multiple sports, each substance must be searched for each sport to ensure specific sport rules are addressed.

You are responsible for ensuring that all active ingredients of the brand are listed on the search results (Status) page.

You are responsible for reading the overall status of the ingredient or brand (i.e., not using the status of an individual active ingredient to represent the status of a brand with more than one ingredient).

Record your reference number. Your use of this database is anonymous: no personal information or email address is captured. Each search is logged with a reference number; the search results are logged and can be reproduced if necessary. It is extremely important that you record the reference number shown on the search results page. This reference number is your record of the search performed.

Regardless of the ingredient or brand, intravenous infusions are prohibited at all times except in the management of surgical procedures, medical emergencies or clinical investigations.

This is to prohibit hemodilution and overhydration as well as the administration of prohibited substances by means of intravenous infusion.

An intravenous infusion is defined as the delivery of fluids through a vein using a needle or similar device.

The following legitimate medical uses of intravenous infusions are not prohibited:
1) Emergency intervention including resuscitation;
2) Blood replacement as a consequence of blood loss;
3) Surgical procedures;
4) Administration of drugs and fluids when other routes of administration are not available (e.g. intractable vomiting) in accordance with good medical practice, exclusive of exercise induced dehydration.

Injections with a simple syringe are not prohibited as a method if the injected substance is not prohibited and if the volume does not exceed 50 mL.
